Crisis Fuel Specialist – Rutland


Immediate opening for a full-time, temporary employee to provide fuel & utility services at BROC Community Action’s Rutland office. This is a temporary, direct service position expected to last through April 2025. Duties include performing intakes, determining eligibility, data entry, working with fuel & utility companies and maintaining records. Applicants will be expected to learn program rules quickly. We do a complete background check.

$18/hr with some benefits. Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm

Coordinated Entry Housing Specialist – Bennington


Immediate opening for a full-time Coordinated Entry Housing Specialist in our Bennington office. Duties include performing intakes for unhoused clients, performing data entry, making referrals, and working with the BROC housing team and area partners.

This is a fast-paced position that requires a high degree of organization. Bachelor’s degree preferred, and experience with data entry is required. Must be proficient in Microsoft and multiple databases.

This position is full-time with benefits, 40/hrs a week M-F 8am-4:30pm at $24/hr.

Victim Liaison – Rutland


BROC Community Action is seeking to hire a Victim Liaison. Under the direction of the Rutland County Community Justice Center Program Director, the victim liaison will be dedicated to serve victims and accept referrals from targeted community partners to provide support services. Victims will be specifically invited to participate in programming that employs restorative processes. 

 

This position is 32 hours per week, M-F. $18.00/ hr and eligible for full benefits. 

 

Duties include, but are not limited to:

·       providing justice system navigation

·       promoting victim-led and informed advocacy

·       receiving referrals from community partners that serve victims of all crimes

·       leading support circles

Confidentiality is of utmost importance and accurate record keeping is a must. A valid driver’s license is required. Some travel is required.

Housing Navigator- Bennington


This role is responsible for facilitating unhoused families in locating housing and preventing eviction for those at risk of becoming un-housed. Duties include case management, landlord relations, fair housing advice, providing financial education, and completing data entry.

Full- time, 40 hours/week, $22/hr

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Experience working with community-based organizations
  • Experience with fair housing law, case management, and local resources
