Restorative Justice Program Specialist
The Rutland County Community Justice Center is Hiring!
Under the supervision of the Rutland County Community Justice Center Program Director, this position will support the operations of the Community Justice Center, with will employ restorative principals to address crime, conflict, and dispute resolution. More specifically, the Program Specialist will facilitate restorative processes (panels, circles, etc.) that offer accountability and support for the offender while addressing the needs of the victim(s) and the community. This is a full time 40/hr a week position starting at $18/hr.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
-Coordinate & facilitate reentry programs and restorative processes
-Coordinate with community partners as warranted upon acceptance of case referrals
-Volunteer recruitment and oversight
-Engagement in community activities and partnerships such as, Project VISION, RutStat, National Night Out and others as deemed appropriate.
-Maintain accurate client records and provide information to supervisor for reporting.
-Frequent travel to surrounding correctional facilities to educate incarcerated individuals on reentry services and community resources.
-Occasional travel for state trainings and meetings.
